Get Involved in The York Proms 2019!

The York Proms aims to give opportunities to local people, as well as bring in top national, and international, talent. From the first year, local choirs and bands have been involved but we plan to expand it for this coming year. Would you like to be involved?

Choirs
Would your choir, musical theatre or opera company like to be involved as an ensemble for the York Proms? We have spaces for the warm up show, during the interval and also during the show, including to be involved with the rousing, flag waving finale. Sign up your choir today so we can get you involved!

Join the York Proms Choir
If we have enough interest we plan to run our own York Proms Choir, with two workshop performances in advance of the proms. We may even have some flash mob style promotional activities planned in the run up to the event and some spots on the local radio or TV channels!

Soloists, Groups and Bands
We will also have spaces for local talent both as a warm up to the main show and during the interval, so if you would like to be considered, please follow the sig up link and tell us a bit about you. We have announced The Wilberforce Trust as our designated charity for 2019 and performers will have the chance to get involved with supporting one of their charity concerts too.

Dancers, Dance Groups and other Performance Arts
This year's community stage will have space for physical performances too, like ballet, tap, contemporary dancy, jive, percussion etc. If you would like to recommend your group please use the sign up and tell us about yourself too.
